As much as we would like to believe that we are helping these guys to get back on their feet, the fact is that - in reality - not much can be done for them. Salvation is a gift given to few, and none of these depraved villains deserve it anyway. So we go through the motions: strict discipline, enforced cleanliness, concentration on meaningful work and a paycheck, and of course all the steps they have in their sessions. In the end, however, and especially after years of dealing with similar wankers, it has become obvious that most of them will simply end up returning to their bad habits and then pay for those habits by handing themselves over to the next guy with some money in their pocket. As sad as it is, I think we are helping them in an important way: Since they'll end up whores anyway, we'll help them get off to a good start.
