What displeases Miss Chamber most is how she found out that not only did Louise and Maria fall behind with their studies, but that they posed for a local photographer in order to earn some money. The pictures he took will probably bring the school into disrepute if they are ever seen by the general public. Louise and Maria are not aware that Miss Chambers is in possession of the incriminating photographs, and when confronted with their teacher, they lie to her, which turns out to be a big mistake. When Miss Chambers shows the girls the evidence, they have no choice but to admit the crime. Maria is a habitual villain and knows exactly what to expect. Louise is a new girl and has no idea what will happen to her, but she soon finds out. To make matters worse, both girls quarrel with Miss Chambers, which makes them very angry.
